Here you’ll find my watercolour drawings of literary and historical women. I’m particularly inspired by the work of Beatrix Potter but these illustrations are also informed by old prints, cards and material culture. Each of my drawings is prepared with great care and created to delight, inspire and inform. The miniature portraits are sketched in pencil on an A5 postcard, then gently tickled with a brush of watercolour, drawing inks or both. Every illustration is a one of a kind original, hence the charm.
The illustrations will soon be available for purchase in my Etsy shop, which is currently being set up. I’d be delighted if you had a browse upon the launch (the date will be confirmed). In the meantime I’d very much appreciate it if you liked my facebook page where I will be posting updates. The perfect token for any admirer of these noteworthy women, your drawing will come a little keepsake history, accompanying vintage paperback on the lady in question and handwritten letter. Each illustration is carefully delivered in a frame sleeve, ready to be used however you wish.
I am also available to deliver commissions according to your own specifications and am happy to lend my pen to any project. For this, please email me via firstname.lastname@example.org where I’m available to discuss whatever your heart desires.
